- Physical agents – Heat and microwaves.
- Oxidizing agents – Osmium tetroxide.
- Aldehydes – Formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, acrolein.
- Coagulants – Acetic acid, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol,
- Miscellaneous – Mercuric acid, picric acid.
