- Fontanelle (soft spots on the head)
- Mouth and palate.
- Heart and lung sounds.
- Groin pulses.
- Abdominal organs and belly button.
- Genitals (in boys to make sure the testicles have descended)
- Feet, spine and hips.
EXAMINATION. ➢! Plot weight, length and head circumference on cen&le chart. ➢! Examine eyes for red reflex. ➢! Palpate palate. |

You can request an appointment for a check yourself, especially if you have any concerns. It's a good idea to make a list of questions to take along with you. |
Did the baby have a newborn hearing screen? Is the baby startled by loud noises such as a clap? Has the baby been free of ear infections or discharge? Yes. |
