Rule 1. When blessed is used as a verb, it is pronounced with one syllable (blest). Example: Before we ate, our uncle Tony blessed [blest] the meal.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou ... Latin Pronunciation. Ah-vay Mar-ee-ah, gra-tee-ah ple-nah, Dome-noos tay-koom ...

The convention is that when used as a verb, one syllable: "The Lord blessed them." When used as a noun or an adjective, two syllables: "The bless-ed in heaven."

20 янв. 2022 г. · “Blessed art thou amongst women” sounds consistent. If you remove the “amongst,” you might as well just make the whole phrase be “blessed are you among women.”
