Cases. In NVivo, cases represent the 'units of analysis' in your research study—for example, the people you interviewed or the communities you studied.

If you are working with datasets containing social media data imported from NCapture, NVivo creates cases to represent each user when you autocode by Username.

NVivo can automatically create cases based on your data. This is especially useful if you are working with a large number of cases.
