A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

Moses exhorts the Israelites to keep every commandment of God so that they may be strong to go in and possess the land of Canaan.

A land which the Lord thy God careth for In a very particular and special manner; otherwise he has a general care of the whole world, and all the parts of it.

Moses' instruction to Israel as a people was that they were to fear, obey, love and serve God, in the assurance that he desired only their good.

Moses is trying to tell Israel that the land of Canaan is their land. He is telling them that all they need there will be looked after by the Lord.

With this chapter Moses concludes his preface to the repetition of the statutes and judgments which they must observe to do.
