Ductal dependent heart lesions are congenital heart defects (CHD) that result in obstruction of pulmonary blood flow, obstruction of systemic blood flow, or separation of the pulmonary and systemic circulations due to normal physiologic alterations occurring after birth which lead to closure of the ductus arteriosus.
