Curriculum for the General Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota.

The call schedule ranges from 12 to 24 hours in duration and averages one to two calls per week. While on service, PGY-3s average 72 hours per week.

Monday ; 6:30 am. Early morning rounds ; 7:30 am - 12:00 noon. Surgery ; 12:00 noon. Vascular Conference with lunch ; 1:30 - 3:30 pm. Surgical Clinic.

Rotations consist of one to two months experiences in general and vascular surgery, surgical oncology, pediatric surgery and the surgical specialties.
