These are pictures of squirrel poop. If you see these types droppings in your attic or yard, they were made by a squirrel.

Squirrel droppings are typically dark in color, and about the size of a grain of rice, 3/8 inch long and roughly 1/8 inch in diameter.

Squirrel poop is normally tubular whereas rat poop may have a slightly more rectangular shape. Rat waste often has ridges running down the sides of each piece.

Squirrel feces will be a light brown, rusty or reddish color, while rat feces is generally darker brown or even black.

You can distinguish flying squirrel poop from the gray and Eastern Gray Squirrels because the shape is different.
