A voice from the nation urges the people to return to the LORD so that they may live in His presence and experience His blessings.

A. A call to return to the LORD. 1. (1-2) Israel should trust in the God who chastened her. Come, and let us return to the LORD;

When God returns in mercy to his people and designs favour for them, he will, as a pledge and fruit of his favour, give them more of the knowledge of himself.

Come, and let us return to Jehovah: for He has torn in pieces, and will heal us; He has smitten, and will bind us up.
