To add cover pictures in Notion, you need to click the "Add cover" button right above the title of your page. Then, feel free to select your favourite image.

To embed GIFs in Notion, you just have to copy a GIF's link, paste it in Notion and select "Embed image".

You just need to add an image, click on “GIPHY”, look for the desired gif and you are good to go :)
