Book 15 marks the beginning of the end for Hector and the Trojans, who have reached the height of their power and now face a downhill slope.

Fighters rally to protect and avenge fallen comrades, first on one side and then the other. The great archer Teucer aims at Hector, but Zeus breaks his bow.

In Book 15, Zeus and the gods intervene to help give the Trojans the upper hand. We know, though, that the favor of the gods will ultimately fall on the Greeks.
