An inseparable phrasal verb is a transitive phrasal verb which does not allow an object to be placed between the verb and particle.
For this reason, intransitive phrasal verbs are called inseparable. Here are some examples: I like to get up late. Joe isn't here. He's gone out.
Inseparable phrasal verbs can be transitive (i.e., they can take a direct object), but you can't insert that direct object into the middle of the phrasal verb.
