In Isaiah 42, the divine speaker announces the presence of a servant who is chosen by God and a source of delight for God.

Isaiah 42:4 - 'He will not be disheartened or crushed Until He has established justice on the earth; And the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law.

The prophet seems here to launch out yet further into the prophecy of the Messiah and his kingdom under the type of Cyrus.

It prophesies that the Messiah will bring forth justice but will not be quarrelsome. He will be so gentle, "a bruised reed He will not break" (Isaiah 42:3).
