James 3:13-15 Meaning and Commentary In this chapter the apostle cautions against censoriousness, and reproving others with a magisterial air; advises to bridle the tongue, and guard against the vices of it; and shows what true wisdom is, and from whence it comes.
James 3:13. ESV Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
James is going to point out to us that we frequently are seeking the wrong wisdom. James is going to teach us that there are two kinds of wisdom.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
