The Coming Messiah: the Righteous Branch - “Woe to the shepherds (civil leaders, rulers) who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!”

Jeremiah 23. 23. 1 WOE TO the shepherds (the civil leaders) who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasturing! says the Lord.

The days are coming,” says the LORD, “When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as King and act wisely.

Jeremiah 23:10 AMP [10] For the land is full of adulterers (unfaithful to God); The land mourns because of the curse [of God upon it].

Jeremiah 10:23 reveals why humanity is the way it is and why prayer is important. The prophet does not mention prayer here, but what he says has much to do.
