Marriage Records Online Request Information. Records are available for marriages where the license was issued in Los Angeles County since 1852.

You have successfully completed your Online Marriage Application. You will need the confirmation number below to make your appointment to purchase your license.

1. Fill out your marriage license application online and print the application confirmation: https://marriage.lavote.net/OMLS/.

Appointments are only available three (3) weeks in advance. If no appointments are available they have been filled for those weeks.

Each party applying for a marriage license may choose to include on their marriage license the new name in the spaces provided on the marriage license.

Both parties must appear in person and bring valid picture identification to the County Clerk's Office to apply for a marriage license in California.

The department also conducts civil marriages. There are no geographic restrictions. The office maintains records of land deeds and property ownership records.
