An Act of Parliament creates a new law or changes an existing law. An Act is a Bill that has been approved by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

A Bill is a proposal for a new law, or a proposal to change an existing law that is presented for debate before Parliament.

There are three different types of law. Statute Law is the law made by Parliament. It is introduced in a Bill and, if passed, becomes an Act.
