This walk follows, as near as possible, where the Roman London Wall was erected, and goes past a number of places where it still stands.
According to ancient records, the wall was three miles long, 18 feet tall, and had fifteen lofty towers. The riverfront side was two and a half miles long.
From Tower Hill in the East to Blackfriars Station in the West, the wall stretched for two miles around the ancient City of London.
Built originally by the Romans from about AD 200, the wall defined London's boundaries and proclaimed its status as the most important city in Roman Britain.
