One time when Jesus went for a Sabbath meal with one of the top leaders of the Pharisees, all the guests had their eyes on him, watching his every move.

Jesus never shied away from controversy. He took advantage of confrontational situations to expose hypocrisy and demonstrate His love and compassion and mercy.

Our Saviour defends the lawfulness of his action in healing the diseased man, from their own action in helping a beast out of the pit on the sabbath day.
