Restart your Mac and hold down the Command + R keys to enter recovery mode.
- Now, in the top menu, click on Utilities and select «Firmware Password Utility«.
- It will tell you that it is activated and gives you two options, one is to change the password and the other is to deactivate it.
- Click deactivate.
