Matthew 18:1–6 describes Jesus' surprising answer to a question from the disciples about who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

We can only be part of God's kingdom if we depend on God for everything. We need God's forgiveness, mercy and grace. That's how we are part of God's kingdom.

Jesus calls people to become like children in order to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). Indeed, he calls them to convert and become like children.

Here Jesus deals with principles and attitudes that should mark His people as they get along with each other.
