Optical isomerism is a form of stereoisomerism . This kind of isomerism occurs as a result of chirality in molecules. Chirality refers to a molecular property where the molecule is not superimposable on its mirror image, much like how a left and right hand are mirror images but not superimposable.
3 янв. 2023 г. · Optical isomers. A carbon atom that has four different atoms or groups of atoms attached to it is called a chiral carbon or chiral centre.
22 мар. 2022 г. · Properties of optical isomers. The chemical properties of optical isomers are generally identical, with one exception.
