From 01 September 2023, plastic stemmed cotton buds, single-use plastic bowls and plates and plastic pizza savers were banned . And from 01 September 2024, the ban will be extended to include plastic barrier bags, boutique-style plastic bags and single-use plastic beverage containers – including coffee cups. More here.
The good news is that all state and territory governments have now introduced or plan to introduce bans on many problematic single-use plastics. |
