Ribs smelling like sulfur or eggs is usually completely normal . After taking the ribs out of the vacuum packaging it will take around 10-15 minutes for this smell to dissipate. If the ribs still smell after 30 minutes of being allowed to “bloom,” it's best to not eat the ribs and throw them out.

20 мая 2017 г. · When I cut them open they had a Sulfur Dioxide (rotten egg) smell to them. I normally buy my ribs from a butcher and they are not vacuum packed.
There can be a strong aroma when you first open a vac sealed pack. If it smells rotten then no go but the aroma should dissipate after a bit.
