This verse speaks to her business sense and responsibility. Rather than being hasty, or casual, she applies common sense and careful thought to the transaction.

Review: So far we have learned several things about the virtuous woman: → Vs. 10 – She is valuable—like rubies. → Vs. 11 – She is trustworthy.

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

She considereth a field; whether it be fit for her use, and of a reasonable price, and how she may purchase it. This excludes the rashness.
