David Guzik's commentary on Psalm 8. In this Psalm David speaks of the glory of God, and how the glory of man and his destiny reflects upon God.
Outline. I. God's glory and majesty (1-2) II. Man is insignificant compared to the Creator (3-4) III. Man is significant because God honors him (4b-8)
Psalm 8 reveals that those suffering at the hands of evil forces are those made in the image of God and valued highly by their creator.
Psalm 8 declares that there is only one Yahweh. The God who made all things is the only one worthy of the name that is majestic in all the earth.
