Psalm 41:10. New International Version ... But may you have mercy on me, Lord; raise me up, that I may repay them.

Be merciful to me, LORD, and restore my health, and I will pay my enemies back. ... But you, LORD, be gracious to me and raise me up so that I may pay them back!

God's mercy and grace both factor into His treatment of repentant believers. In His mercy, He withholds what the believing sinner deserves, namely punishment.

But you, O LORD, be gracious to me, and raise me up, that I may repay them!

I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.
