  1. To make sabudana vermicelli payasam, heat 2 tbsp ghee in a deep-pan.
  2. Roast 1 cup vermicelli (sevaiyan) till golden brown.
  3. Add 1 cup soaked sago (sabudana).
  4. Add 1 cup jaggery.
  5. Add few saffron strands.
  6. Add 1½ cup hot water.
  7. Mix well and cover and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
