A shepherd is to strengthen the weak, heal the sick, bind up the injuries, bring back the straying, and seek the lost.

One of the primary, if not the primary, responsibilities of a shepherd is to feed the sheep. Ezekiel even says that at the end of verse three. That's a given.

In our text today, Ezekiel condemned the unfaithful shepherds of Israel who were providing for themselves while neglecting duties toward their flock.
