Tylosaurus is a large marine reptile that first existed in the Western Interior Seaway that ran through the United States and Canada during the Late Cretaceous.
Tylosaurus was 15 meters (49 feet+) in length and lived during the Late Cretaceous period about 88 to 80.5 million years ago.
The name Tylosaurus means "Knob lizard" in Greek. Any small creature that would cross the path of the Tylosaurus could become part of its diet.
