Ductal-dependent lesions
These lesions which are dependent on blood flow through the PDA for adequate circulation are collectively referred as "ductal-dependent lesions". Patients with ductal dependent lesions will present with severe cyanosis, shock or collapse as the PDA constricts within hours or days after birth.
