why do prokaryotes not have introns - Axtarish в Google
Procaryotic cells don't have introns but they do exans. The explanation for the evolutionary difference is introns take up too much space in the DNA molecule . Prokaryotic cells need and use virtually all of there DNA to synthesize protein and RNA molecules.

7 апр. 2012 г. · Prokaryotes can't have introns, because they have transcription coupled to translation. They don't have time/space for that, since intron splicing will stop ...
The absence of introns in the genes of prokaryotes does not tell us anything about the evolutionary age of these structures.
Prokaryotes do seem to have very small sequences of introns, located in their tRNA regions. These introns self-splice out of the sequence.

They don't have introns (except for archaebacteria) so splicing is not necessary. In addition, prokaryotes don't have a nucleus so the mRNA doesn't need to be ...
