In a large Dutch oven, combine the 6 cups chicken broth, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 clove garlic, and 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger. Bring to a boil. Add 1 cup shredded carrots, 4 green onions and 20 frozen dumplings to the pot. Simmer until dumplings are tender, 8-10 minutes (or according to package directions).
